The Kennesaw State University Men's Lacrosse Team was picked to finish 3rd in the Conference for the upcoming 2013 season. The poll, which is decided by conference coaches, is taken every year and gives teams a sense of their place in the conference or provides bulletin board material for the Spring.

This is the 2nd consecutive season in which the Owls were picked to finish 3rd. Last season the Owls exceeded expectations finishing 2nd in the conference after a 9-6 loss in the SELC Championship Game.

"At the end of the day, we know that you can’t take much from these polls," commented Coach Anthony Grizanti. "Those are outside expectations, in house; we expect to do a lot more this season."

The Owls will have their chances to show the league what kind of team they have. The team opens the season with 3 games against SELC DI opponents, including the home opener against Georgia Tech and a road game against the Auburn Tigers the following week. The team will also see 7 conference opponents this year in contrast to the 3 that were on the 2012 schedule.

The Owls open play on January 26th at the Owls Nest.
