Week 4 in the SELC DII will display quite possibly the most important inter division matchup of the year between No. 13 Kennesaw State University (3-0) at No. 19 Tennessee Wesleyan College (0-1). Both teams are ranked in the top 20, and should be competing for an SELC title come the end of the season. TWC leads the series at 3-0 winning the last contest by a score of 15-14.

The Bulldogs enter the weekend looking for their first win after losing to No. 2 Davenport in their season opener. Last season, TWC won the division but lost in the Semi-finals of the SELC Playoffs to Elon. This year they return many key players highlighted by SELC Offensive Player of the Year Ryan Horvath (57 g, 17 a).

"This game is really important for both teams. Last year was a shootout, and I expect this game to be just as hard fought," said Coach Parker.

"KSU has a good mix of veterans to go with some very strong younger guys. I think one of the key matchups will be KSU Attackman Scott Schulze vs. TWC Defenseman Steven Duchemin.

Kennesaw State is currently undefeated, and has a solid win over No. 21 St. Mary's. The Owls finished 2nd in the division behind Tennessee Wesleyan, but were able to make it to the SELC Finals. KSU brings back a very talented offense including Scott Schulze (61 g, 35 a).

"This is always a big game for us because it usually determines a playoff spot in the division. Another reason it is big is because we have never beaten the Bulldogs. The team has put in a lot of work this week and hopefully it will pay off for us.
